WEEK 8

Good news 4 out 5 bikes are working so we don't have to fight each other for the working bikes.

It was a pretty good week. We had the mission tour from Elder Piper through zoom. He really emphasized the importance of helping people learn and know how to pray. It is really important for people to pray because they just need to ask God for help.

The weather has been great and in the 90s. Back home if it was in the 80s I still wouldn't want to go outside. Through the help of the Lord, even this polar bear can withstand the heat.

We taught some members that live on Nellis Air Force Base. We were taken on and we taught them. They then drove us around the base and we saw cool decommissioned planes on display. We also drove past this place they call the "Petting Zoo". Basically, there is a bunch of weapons and stuff in there you can touch and hold. SI wanted to go but, it says in the handbook to not handle firearms so big RIP.

Love all you guys have a gran tastic week.

#1 We found this natural waterfall it was really cool. Take a lookie.

#2 Elder Wade had a new bike. The best part was the box itself. I decided to hide in it.

WEEK 7

My P-day is on Monday today. I usually have it on Tuesday but, a general authority is coming (I don't remember the name) to do a mission tour. It will be pretty cool.

This week was pretty good. Nothing too amazing happened. We still have bike problems (there's a pattern here) but we are working through it. I need a new tube for mine but the stores we look in don't have the right size of tire. On Sunday we rode to church and on the way back the chain on the bike I was borrowing was going to break. We had to have the zone leaders drive us home otherwise we would walk 6 miles.

I almost ran into a car this week with a bike. I was riding and a truck was turning right but he was waiting for us or so I thought. I was like 10 feet away and then he went for it. I had to stop instantly and I was close to hitting his truck. Pretty epic. It would be funny if I put a big dent in his nice truck.

Love you all

WEEK 6

This week was pretty epic because, I got to go to the temple. It was kind of weird seeing my parents where I'm serving. It was really good.

Our apartment has had some horrible bike problems. At the beginning of the week we had 4 functional bikes. As of today we have 1.5 functional bikes. Mine needs a new tube. Elder Johnson's needs a new tire and tube. Elder Wade's bike works but, it's a cheap Wal-Mart bike and it has lots of problem so it's half functional. My companion Elder Paulsen's bike works. Pretty epic.

On Saturday my companion and I were riding on our bikes to some people we have been teaching houses (none of them answered) and on the way back I hit a sharp edge of the side walk and popped my tire(that's why I need a new tube). Our apartment was about 3.5 miles away. We started walking for about half an hour and while we were walking over the freeway some dudes in a sweet Ford Raptor picked us up. Turns out they were both returned missionaries. One served in Mexico and the other in Arizona. They took us to the gas station and snacked us up. It was radical. It turns out that the same guys picked up the other Elders in our apartment and drove them back. Probably 2 of the 3 Nephites.

It was a pretty good week and now I have made it through one transfer. Time has been as fast as me on a bike.

Week 5

This week was pretty alright. We just did normal missionary stuff. It was really hot this weekend but, today it felt really good because it's in the 80s.

I have been playing basketball on Tuesdays and Fridays with the three other Elders in my apartment. I have been getting pretty good so I can probably join the NBA. It might be hard to do Olympic Cycling and professional basketball but, I can manage.

This week we taught a dude named Theo and we invited him to be baptised and he said yes. I hope he goes through with it. He's pretty epic though.

One day the elders and I were on the floor just laying there. All of us fell asleep except my companion. He was reading a book called "How to Pray and Stay Awake" so that was pretty funny.

Las Vegas has been a pretty cool place(Not literally). There's a lot of homeless people and just cool people. It has been pretty fun. It's called sin city and that name is not far off. By the time we are done with Las Vegas it will be called repentance city.

Week 4

This week was a week. We had zone conference this week. It was pretty epic because we learned from the President the best way to teach members. I love how he teaches with the Book of Mormon.

This week was pretty dry for missionary work. We taught some lady over the phone. After we were done her husband took the phone and started talking to us. He started asking questions. The first one was about why there are so much wars and crazy stuff. I talked about how in the BOM it talks about all the craziness of the last days. He talked about how their are only white people in the Church of Jesus Christ. We didn't say anything but, we were thinking of all the Hispanic wards and how the Church is worldwide. He asked us some other weird stuff. I just bared my testimony about the BOM and stuff. He didn't say anything else but, I could tell he was a little mad.

The heat tamed a little. Still over 100 in the middle the day. I have a scripture that describes my mission. It's is in 2 Nephi 20:16. It says "Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of Hosts, send among his fat ones, leanness; and under his glory, he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire." A very good scripture.

Love all you guys and hope you guys have a good week.

Here are some weird pictures of Elders in my apartment.
