WEEK 12 POWER LEVEL INCREASES

I am now done with my training. My missionary power level has increased from level 1 at the beginning of my training to level 20.

This week was pretty good. We made our first street contact. It's crazy I have been out all this time and we just barley got a street contact. Pretty crazy. We just talked about Jesus Christ and we have an another appointment with him later this week.

Monday was really crazy. It dropped from 80-90 to the 40s and 50s. It's like someone turned off the sun for a little bit. It was cold because it was windy and when we did exercise it was very cold. Pretty interesting weather pattern. Now it feels great.

WEEK 11

This week was pretty good. We did a little zoom zone conference. It was pretty good. President Rodarte over the zoom said I had a cool haircut so that was really epic and Elder Johnson was the one who cut it so he was proud. Now I'm muy pretty.

This week was pretty slow for missionary work but, we taught a lot of members and we did get our first member referral but, we haven't taught her yet.

We got roasted by a non-member the other day. We were walking back from a lesson to the car and he stopped and asked if we were Jehovah Witnesses and we said we were missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ and he roasted us for not having a physical Book of Mormon with us. He compared us to the unprepared of the 10 virgins because we were heading back to our car where we had more BOM's. So lesson learned never leave anywhere without your Book of Mormon it's good for you!

We were walking out of an apartment complex and we were on the sidewalk below the complex and a guy through his window on the second floor asked us if we were Jehova Witnesses. ( I don't know why people think we are missionaries for the great abdominal church as Nephi puts it ) We said we are missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ and then he said get our crap out of here. He accused us for soliciting even though we don't sell anything and you can get our message for Free-.99. He told us to get off his property even though he doesn't own the sidewalk. He said never to return but, we probably will.

WEEK 10

This week I punched a wall but, I will tell that story later. It was a pretty good week.

Before we get a little more wacky I will tell you a spiritual experience this week. We taught this guy over the phone named Bernon and he broke both his ankles in a motorcycle accident. We taught him about the restoration and sweet stuff like that and about the Book of Mormon. We asked if he knew about the Book of Mormon and he said he has been reading it and praying about it and he said he thinks it true. It was awesome somebody knew the Book of Mormon was true and we didn't even ask him to read it. Pretty epic. We have great potential with him.

I have failed to inform you guys that we now got a car. Do you know what's better than that? I'm the designated driver so I jumped from a 1996 Toyota Camry at home to a 2020 Chevy Equinox (Please pray for my driving ability). Probably the newest car I'll ever set foot in. Anyways I was driving this week and a lady with a shopping cart darted across the highway jaywalking and if I didn't slow down or notice she definitely would be in the spirit world. Shows how crazy people here in Vegas. 

We play this game called Monopoly deal which is monopoly in a card game and is shorter but, just as frustrating. This week we were playing and I already had the spirit of contention and I was going to win but, Elder Johnson went before me and steal cards I needed from me so I punched the wall. It sounded like a good idea but, after I knew it wasn't. It was funny because we kept joking around by fake punching the wall.

WEEK 9

General Conference was pretty epic this week. Our zone conference was this week too so it was conference on conference. 

This week was pretty slow for missionary work. We got a referral who was apparently homeless but, had a phone. Elder Paulsen and I called her up and asked if she believed in God and in Jesus Christ and stuff like that. She got mad at us for talking to her simply. She asked us our age and told us to get someone at least 40 years old because we were too young. Probably the most sassy homeless lady ever. The reason we talk so plain is because the Gospel is so plain and simple. 

Anyway this week was pretty slow but, it is all good.
