WEEK 29 REDOUBLING OUR EFFORTS

 This week President told us to redouble our efforts so we did it literally. On average we find 3 new people to teach every week so we doubled that then doubled it again and we found 14 new people to teach. Take that metaphorical statement from our President!

We went and vacuumed a crazy, German, old, single sister. We went in and she talked to us a bit. She is like 83 and is from Germany and she said she was Hitler's flower girl apparently? We were talking about hair dye and I asked what her what color I should dye my hair and she said not to touch my beautiful hair. In her prayer, before we left she thanked God for bringing two handsome, beautiful young man. She also gave us a knife set and some Egyptian cotton sheets so that's cool I guess? The knives are pretty sweet! 

On Sunday we had lunch at 8:30 pm because he left at 8:20 am and didn't get back til 8:30 pm. We survived on Smarties and cookies from members so we were pretty hyper all day. Raul also called this morning and told us he wants to be baptised on March 5th and he said that he doesn't care what it takes! We're so grateful. Linda also came to church and this is the first time I have seen her in person even though we have been teaching her ever since I got here.

Hope you all have a good week full of joy and sunshine and rainbows! A sister missionary during district council hit me with a Book of Mormon so that was funny!

WEEK 28 BULLETS & FIGHTS & STORMS

It was a pretty busy this week as always with some interesting events that took place. 

We were street contacting in a neighborhood and we came across a 9 mil bullet on the ground and we picked it up and we walked a little farther and found blood splatters on the ground. We texted our 2nd counsellor in the bishopric who works at North Las Vegas Jail and he said there are 3 active murder cases and 2 of them were in the neighborhood. He also said we could keep the bullet because there was no body! Hurray!

We went over to this guy we have been teaching named Vernon and he said he got in a fight with one of the neighbors and punched him in the face and knocked 3 of his teeth out. He also said somebody stole all of his license plates. Don't worry he said he and his neighbor made up and are Gucci now.

There was a wind storm that struck Las Vegas. Most people were inside but, guess where we were? At the freakin bus stop! There was a ton of dust and a little rain and it was pretty crazy. It lasted for 30 minutes and we were at the bus stop for all of it. When the bus came we got off at Craig Ranch Park and walked through and it was closed for some reason. We talked to a guy and apparently, the wind knocked down a bunch of the big trees and they almost fell on people so that was a fun time. 

This week was a blast with some funny stories. Elder Rhoads and I accidentally asked a guy named Leonard to kneel down and pray even though he is in a wheelchair. Oops.

WEEK 27 MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY

 I know all you guys are big sad because I haven't been able to write in a while. Many things have happened the past few weeks that will go unknown. That is unless you read my journal but, that is too sacred because they are going in my Autobiography.

Remember how I snook into both of the zone conference pictures last transfer? I made a shocking discovery that when I snook in I was right behind Elder Rhoads in the picture who at the time was in the other zone and now I'm his companion. God works in mysterious ways. We had zone conference this transfer and I went up and showed the picture to President and Sister Rodarte and Sister Rodarte said she noticed I snook in. Don't worry I snook in this transfer too but, this time I was behind Elder Stewart who is a current Assistant so that is a little scary.

We hiked a slot canyon last Monday for P-day. It was pretty epic and I ran around the whole time jumping over bushes. Everybody wondered how I had so much energy. Sometimes I would just run away from the group and Elder Rhoads would run after me. Now that I'm a fit kid I can do what I want. One of the Sisters roasted me for not following the safey zone which is video you have to watch in the MTC about being safe. Don't worry I ran away.

One night we burnt some matches and made some charcoal so I took it and tried to make war paint but, instead I made a beard and it was pretty epic. The other Elders weren't home so I kept on the beard and they walked in also with their district leader who last transfer was the main assistant and they also saw my sick beard. 

We asked our APs for more miles because we calculated if we go into our area twice a day we would go 200 miles over our 700 mile limit. We asked for 300 more miles and they gave us 50 more and said to "plan". Now we save the crap out of miles. Elder Rhoads made a spreadsheet that calculates how many miles we can use a day depending on how many days we have left in the month and how many miles we have left for the month. We have been using the bus more and been abusing member rides. We even got a ride in a Tesla from some members and it was epic. We have been using the bus too.

Raul showed up a to Sacrament meeting this yesterday randomly and we set up a time for us to come over Wednesday. I have been in Laurel Canyon for so long people have been wondering what I have done with my other companions.

I like Elder Rhoads a lot and we have similar interests like fishing and hunting. We are busy boys now.

This is a little taste of what happened. It's like when Mormon in the Book of Mormon states that what is written is one-hundredth of what happened. The Book of Mormon is true! Have a great week!
