WEEK 38 WE ACCIDENTALLY KILLED SOMEBODY

 

To be honest it was a pretty crazy week. Lots of things have gone down. First off we got kicked out of the La Mancha mansion. We had the landlord come over to try to fix the A/C and to look at some water damage so he came over and replaced the air filter (which didn't fix the A/C) and he looked at the water damage. He told us that where we were living was supposed to be a sister only place and after he left he called our housing coordinator about it so then we got told to pack up and Elder Rivas And Elder Cheney got moved into the Sister's apartment and the Sisters took the La Mancha Mansion. Elder Moss and I got put into an apartment that is outside of our zone. Technically we have to call our Mission President to have permission to go home because to leave the zone you have to get permission from President. 

The night before we left we had a "Hot Tub Night" in the bathroom with the big tub and it was pretty epic! We got a ton of dish soap and made it a bubble bath. It was pretty lit and a great bonding experience! It was our way of saying goodbye to the La Mancha Mansion!

Oh yeah. Elder Moss and I kind of killed a guy. That may sound crazy but, it's a true story. One old inactive lady named Robin wanted us to give her brother named Rod a priesthood blessing and Rod had lots of problems and was basically going to die but, they didn't know when. We gave him a blessing to basically pass away and then 4 hours later he passed away. That's right. We helped a dude pass through the veil and the power of the Priesthood is true! 

It was a crazy week and lots went down. We had Zone Conference, we became refugees, we helped a guy pass through the veil, and we fixed my bike after like 4 months of the tube being popped so all crazy stuff. I also got the vaccine today so hopefully I don't turn into a lizard person. I also forgot my mask so I had to wear a rag for a mask so that's fun!

WEEK 37 NEW TRANSFER NEW CLEGGANATOR!

 Welcome boys and girls, sisters and elders, men and women, grandparents, parents! I hope I covered everyone and the title is something that I just came up with so don't think about it too much!

It's been a really epic transfer so far! Elder Moss is super fun and super funny. We have had a good time and have been productive too. The best of both worlds! What more can you ask for? 

Our Bishop finally set up an appointment with us after a full transfer of him ghosting our calls and texts. Elder Hallman and I probably called him like 20 or more times with no luck. Elder Moss and I call him once on transfer day and he answered! It was hilarious to me. He probably didn't like Elder Hallman or something. We went over and he is super cool and an awesome guy! Hopefully, he likes the Clegganator. 

We have this baby doll named "Freaking Idiot" who we throw around if we are mad or something like that it's hilarious! We were burning Elder Cheney's tie because of his 6 months and we decided to put rubbing alcohol on Freakin Idiot's head and light it on fire. You might think it's child abuse but, it's just plastic okay! Don't worry I'll be a great Father! 

I love you guys a lot! Stay cool it there! It's warming up here so sweaty boy will be more common around these parts.

WEEK 36 I'M NOT BEING TRANSFERED--LET'S GO!

As the title implies I'm staying in Royal Mesa YSA/ Desert Valley. It should be another lit transfer in Casa de epicness so it should be fun! I'll be getting a new companion named Elder Moss and I've heard he is cool so that's good.

It was a pretty good week! We have had to do the Saturday car fast because went over miles last month so bikes it is on Saturdays! Let's Go! It's pretty fun to skirt around with our bikes and have people honk and wave at us! It's also fun to get yelled at! 

We taught one lady named Teneigha in the park the other day. We taught her the Plan of Salvation and it went really well! She's interesting and talked about how when she is resurrected she is going to have coral coloured skin and long hair with a bright white dress. She told us about the coral skin and how it's in the Bible so I don't think I read that chapter. She's cool and will be a work in progress! She also said Adam and Eve were black. The more you know! 

We have been doing a ton of service and it's been really fun with the whole district. Who knew manual labor would be so fun! 

We went on a hike today and it was pretty epic! Elder Byington, Ison, and I climbed up a big hill doing some rock climbing and it was epic! Please don't tell the Assistants.

I love you all but, remember remember that Jesus Loves you more!

WEEK 35 I SAW SOME DAM FISH!

It's been a while since I wrote and by awhile I mean approximately 14 days ago and quite a bit has happened since then so here you go:

I had interviews with my President and it was really cool! We talked about a lot of stuff. He told me that I was large in stature and that a lot of people like me and I said kind of like Nephi! He told me if I got better at using the Scriptures I would be the best teacher in the mission. It was really good! As we were walking out of his office I told him "Thanks for the interview Dad." He said back "Of course son." We were chuckling on the way out.

As the title implies my district went to the Hoover Dam! We saw it all: the Dam workers, we saw the Dam rocks, the Dam Bighorn sheep, the Dam gift shop! As you can see it was Dam-tastic! Don't worry I got it out of my system! It was really cool. We went on a hike also and went through the tunnels they made to go build the Dam. I got some epic pictures! Mom is going to be so proud!

We did it! We set Tanner on date! And you guys thought that Elder Clegg was a bad missionary! As King Benjamin says we are all unprofitable servants so... Tanner is going to go to California for a month for school so we have to wait until May when he gets back. Conversion takes time so that's my excuse. 

General Conference was pretty epic! When President Nelson came on I felt the spirit strongly and I knew he was the Prophet. I liked the talk by Elder Stevensen's talk about the Rabbit effect and I called it the Ronnie effect.

It's been a good couple of weeks for sure. We have acquired a Pokemon addiction so that's fun. All of the cards are sold out in stores so we had to go to Facebook Marketplace to acquire them.
