WEEK 51 WAIT? THERE'S RAIN IN VEGAS?

You heard it here first folks! It actually does rain in Vegas! I know what you guys are thinking: Are you sure it wasn't just somebody pouring a bucket of water over your head? It did actually rain quite a bit this week which was very epic! 

We did our weekly planning at the church and it started raining pretty hard and we were in the relief society room and we looked out the door and across the parking lot was a fire hydrant so Elder Whittaker told me to touch the hydrant so I ran to it and when I got back I was soaked. It was raining hard. I had to get a towel from the baptismal font to dry off. It was pretty funny. 

We called this one guy up named Daylin. We talked to him about his past experiences with missionaries. He told us how he prayed about the Book of Mormon and read part of it 4 different times and every time he said he got the answer that it wasn't true. We were sitting there scratching our heads. We have another lesson set up with this guy. Hopefully it goes well. You know the saying: The Church is true and the Book is blue!

It's been a pretty good week. Full of water and scriptures. Scriptures and water are not a good combination by the way. I had to learn that the hard way. Have a splendid week!

WEEK 50 🦈Shark Week!!🦈

As the title implies this week is shark week! Sorry I haven't written in a while. I've gotten lazy. Not in missionary work though. I promise! 

I'm still here in Royal Mesa/Desert Valley wards and our boy Elder Moss got transferred to Kingman Arizona as a Zone Leader! That's right, I trained him well. I have been out for over a year and have been in a grand total of 2 areas! It's so funny because some missionaries in our district have been out for like 6 months and have more areas than me. 

My new companion is Elder Whittaker! He came a long way from St. George Utah. He's super funny. He has a picture of 3 of himself with different clothes all in one picture and he says he is an identical triplet. He fooled me for about a whole day before I figured it out. He's a good guy!

We had Zone Conference this week and we live with the Elders that were planning zone conference and I said I would say the closing prayer and on the program right by my name it said honored guest. It was pretty funny. I said the closing prayer and went up to President Rodarte to ask him if it was a good prayer and he thought it was very beautiful. 

Oh yeah somebody said that we are not Christian and we worship a different Jesus. That's always fun to hear. It's so funny how people hate us because we are walking around with a white shirt and tie. I do it because I like my white shirt and tie.
