WEEK 43 "HOTTER THAN HELL"

Whoops! Has it already been 3 weeks since I wrote an email? You know what they say "Time flies when you are having a good time!" The last time I wrote I gave the email I wrote to Elder Moss and in turn, he would write my next one but, it didn't happen and then I got lazy.

We finally did it! We dunked Tanner in the water! With the proper authority of course! It was actually a hilarious baptism. We had Tanner's brother named Berry baptise him and we practiced with them before sacrament meeting. We had the Baptism right after sacrament meeting. Berry was very nervous and he couldn't get him under so instead of bringing him back up and restarting he just pushed him all the way under and it worked! It was a good baptism and is the first one I have had on the mission! We forgot to drain the font so later that night at about 9 PM we couldn't get the drain with the stick so I took my pants off and got into the font to drain it. It was funny because we were in a zoom meeting with the whole mission when I was in the font.

We had Kyle S. McKay come to our mission for a mission tour. It was very cool and really funny! Elder McKay is a funny dude. He was saying how Vegas is hotter than Hell. He said he looked on his weather app and saw that Hell was about 104° and how he swiped over and saw that Vegas was 106°. He said that a mission is all for Jesus! I am doing all this stuff for Jesus! Elder McKay is a cool dude. He has such a booming voice too! It's lit!

Oh yeah, transfers happened and Elder Moss and I are staying the same so that is epic. We will keep balling out and baptizing nations!

We found this part member family named the Valenzuelas! They are super cool and their 3 kids aren't baptised and they want to come back to church! They came yesterday and it was sweet! They should get baptised so that's exciting!

On Saturday we have been forced to do a car fast where we can't use our car on Saturdays so we have been getting the YSA members to drive us around because they have nothing better to do. It has been fun to hang out with them and go knock doors of past investigators. There was one time a Filipino lady gave us some egg rolls so I call that a win win situation.

Donovan is doing a lot better now! That first lesson with him was really difficult but, now things are going smoothly to his baptism. We took him to the temple to walk around the grounds and talk about it. It was really nice and I miss going inside the temple so much! It felt good to just be around the temple. 10/10 would recommend going to the temple.

When my ward mission leader for the YSA ward found out we were having transfers soon he turned towards Elder Moss and pointed towards me and said "It's time to get rid of this little fetcher"
Later after I figured out I was staying I went up to him and said "Guess what? Little fetcher is staying" It was really funny. He told me it will be another 6 weeks of Hell! It was super funny.

On that note, I think I'm done writing! My emails are going to be a New York Times Best Seller. Love you guys and have a wonderful week!

WEEK 40 PICKLE PARTY/RACISM

Top of the morning to all and to all a good night. That's right! It's your favorite time of the week! We played a lot of Pickleball this week and the Zone Leaders referred us a guy named Donovan who is kind of racist. It was a trip let me just say that!

Tuesday morning some old dude from a different ward called us and asked if we wanted to play Pickleball and meet his son named Preston who is less active and his girlfriend named Alexa who is a non-member. We have accepted the challenge. Let me just say how in the world are old people so good at Pickleball? I mean what the heck? We were at the courts and we would go against a bunch of old people and they would destroy us! There was this old lady talking trash to me and it was hilarious! I hope one day I'm as good as these old people! To all the old people out there I salute you!

Now let me tell you about Donovan. Do you know how lots of people are concerned about why the church didn't give the priesthood to black people earlier but, this dude was concerned about why they give black people the priesthood in general. He's very smart but, just believes that white people are superior and how God intended to create us all "clean and pure". He believes in the Book of Mormon and in the prophets Joseph Smith and Brigham Young. He also doesn't like interracial marriage. Hopefully, everything will go well with him. I'm not very smart so pray for my intelligence to help him.

Elder Moss ripped his pants playing Hacky Sack at FHE with some members. When we went home he turned his pants into booty pants! Not going a lie but, they were pretty cute! Tanner also passed his baptism interview so that's epic!

It was a good week full of epicness as always. Have a great week full of sunshine and rainbows and maybe a unicorn if you're lucky!

WEEK 39 I STOLE $50 FROM AN OLD LADY

It was a week this week where we did week stuff. As the title implies I Stole $50 from an old lady so that was fun. We were at the Zobel's house teaching a member lesson called "F Nephi" where you have all the members count how many f's are in the 1st Nephi chapter 1 verse 1 (plus it has a funny name) and their Grandma who we call Omah came to their house and I asked how she was doing. She asked if we needed anything and I said that we were running low on cash and said just kidding. She pulled out a 50 dollar bill and I got out of the chair and moved away and she chased me down and put the $50 in my pocket. We tried to give it back but, she made sure we kept it. It was pretty funny! And you thought being a missionary doesn't pay! ðŸ¤‘

We also, had a jello fight! I know this week was kind of weird. It was an activity for the YSA ward on Saturday so we showed up in our missionary attire which in retrospect wasn't the smartest thing to do but, oh well. We took off our ties so are ties wouldn't get hurt. We got red all over our white shirts but, now we know that red jello does come out of white shirts. The more you know!

We also had to buy crab legs this week. Cheryl is a person we are teaching and wanted us to go over to her house for dinner. She called us and said that she didn't have as many crab legs as she needed so she told us to buy some crab legs. So we went over to Sams Club and bought some crab and bought it to her house. She made us Gumbo and I'm not the biggest sea food guy but, it was pretty good. She was is really nice and she wants to come to church so that is epic!

It was a good week! Hope y'all are safe and happy! Have a good week!
