Whoops! Has it already been 3 weeks since I wrote an email? You know what they say "Time flies when you are having a good time!" The last time I wrote I gave the email I wrote to Elder Moss and in turn, he would write my next one but, it didn't happen and then I got lazy.
We finally did it! We dunked Tanner in the water! With the proper authority of course! It was actually a hilarious baptism. We had Tanner's brother named Berry baptise him and we practiced with them before sacrament meeting. We had the Baptism right after sacrament meeting. Berry was very nervous and he couldn't get him under so instead of bringing him back up and restarting he just pushed him all the way under and it worked! It was a good baptism and is the first one I have had on the mission! We forgot to drain the font so later that night at about 9 PM we couldn't get the drain with the stick so I took my pants off and got into the font to drain it. It was funny because we were in a zoom meeting with the whole mission when I was in the font.
We had Kyle S. McKay come to our mission for a mission tour. It was very cool and really funny! Elder McKay is a funny dude. He was saying how Vegas is hotter than Hell. He said he looked on his weather app and saw that Hell was about 104° and how he swiped over and saw that Vegas was 106°. He said that a mission is all for Jesus! I am doing all this stuff for Jesus! Elder McKay is a cool dude. He has such a booming voice too! It's lit!
Oh yeah, transfers happened and Elder Moss and I are staying the same so that is epic. We will keep balling out and baptizing nations!
We found this part member family named the Valenzuelas! They are super cool and their 3 kids aren't baptised and they want to come back to church! They came yesterday and it was sweet! They should get baptised so that's exciting!
On Saturday we have been forced to do a car fast where we can't use our car on Saturdays so we have been getting the YSA members to drive us around because they have nothing better to do. It has been fun to hang out with them and go knock doors of past investigators. There was one time a Filipino lady gave us some egg rolls so I call that a win win situation.
Donovan is doing a lot better now! That first lesson with him was really difficult but, now things are going smoothly to his baptism. We took him to the temple to walk around the grounds and talk about it. It was really nice and I miss going inside the temple so much! It felt good to just be around the temple. 10/10 would recommend going to the temple.
When my ward mission leader for the YSA ward found out we were having transfers soon he turned towards Elder Moss and pointed towards me and said "It's time to get rid of this little fetcher"
Later after I figured out I was staying I went up to him and said "Guess what? Little fetcher is staying" It was really funny. He told me it will be another 6 weeks of Hell! It was super funny.
On that note, I think I'm done writing! My emails are going to be a New York Times Best Seller. Love you guys and have a wonderful week!
-Love Elder Clegg!
